Hello ladies and gents :) my apologies for taking a brief hiatus over the past two months but I am back and better than ever!

With that being said, I want to introduce you to a boutique called Lela located in Milwaukee's fashion district, the Third Ward.

This year marks a very special year not only for owner, Carrie Arrouet, but also for the store. September 14, 2013 Lela will be celebrating it's tenth anniversary in the ward. Lela, known for it's exceptional taste in fashion and memorable events, will be creating a once of a life time experience working with local designers and artists to put on one hell of a show. This years event will feature a installation of the past 10 years at Lela.

While I am super excited to attend this event and to share this wonderful information with all of you, I am especially excited to say that I will be a part of the action.

As of two months ago, I joined the Lela team. I am proud to say I am a part of the Lela family and want to share this hidden gem with all of you. Lela is not just another boutique; it is an experience and anyone visiting Milwaukee, must visit Lela!

In the meantime, please check out and "like" Lela on Facebook!

Need a little inspiration in your life? Here is a hint... take a look in your closet and layer up the basics! Today, my look was all about layering.

First, I took two extra long cami's (one in white and the other coral) I purchased from Aerie for $10 a pop, paired them with my favorite black maxi dress I purchased from Kohl's last year. Of course I paired it with my favorite denim jacket I got from American Eagle for $59.95 and an awesome floral scarf from Target.

To add a little pizzazz to the look, I wrapped a braided camel colored belt around it, paired a set of antiqued gold bangles from Forever 21, and a beautiful set of turquoise and antiqued gold drop earrings, also from Forever 21.

So ladies, when asking yourself that dreadful question, "what should I wear today?" Don't forget about all the awesome basic pieces you have in your closet. And most importantly, do not be afraid to layer it up and mix it up for a change!

So, you are probably wondering, "who the hell am I and why should you listen to advice from me?" Well, let me first tell you that I am a 25 year old lover of all things fashion. I recently teamed up with Socialbliss to inspire and share knowledge with the world on all things fashion.

Although I may be new to the blogging world, I am filled with inspiration and a natural curiosity for the fashion industry. I am a firm believer in self expression and I believe fashion is just that.

People often ask what makes art, art? Well, my question is what makes fashion, fashion? What inspires you? What makes you say or think, "now that is one stylish outfit,"? How do you define fashion? I will be honest, I may not have all the answers, but as an avid lover of fashion, I think my opinion matters. Maybe you will find that it does too.
XO,
Sarah

Hello, Ladies and Gents! This weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, was all about showing your thanks to the members of our Armed Forces. How did you show your thanks this weekend? And tell me, how did you rock your patriotic look this weekend?

Pastels used to be a spring only trend... not anymore! More than ever designers are breaking the old fashioned rules by sending rule-breaking styles down the runway. During Fall Fashion week many designers, such as Chloe and Lanvin and Rochas, featured pastels on their runway. Pastels were also featured in last years Spring Fashion week. So obviously those frothy, cupcake pastels are here to stay.

Baby pink, soft yellows, lilac, peach, mint green, and sky blue are all colors you will be seeing lots of this season, as well as many other pastel shades. From a peach peplum dress to a lilac suit. Pastels are surprisingly refreshing. Don't be afraid to add some pastel colored skinny crops or a pastel floral print dress into your wardrobe this season.

Pastels are delicate enough to wear during the day; but also don't be afraid to pair your favorite pastel outfit with some bold metallic jewelry to spice it up at night. Try wearing head to toe pastels and don't be afraid to mix up patterns; you are sure to get noticed! With all the girly trends this season you can't go wrong incorporating this trend into your closet. Pastels, as they are soft and feminine, are here to stay.
